"After-school programs, students merit praise"
April 21st, 2009
Child and Adolescent Treatment Services (CATS), the Northwest Buffalo Community Center (NWBCC), Concerned Ecumenical Ministry (CEM), and Native American Community Services (NACS) are highly praised by Senator Antoine M. Thompson in The Buffalo News on April 21st, 2009. Senator Antoine M. Thompson represents the 60th District in the New York State Senate.

 

Child and Adolescent Treatment Services (CATS), the Northwest Buffalo Community Center (NWBCC), Concerned Ecumenical Ministry (CEM), and Native American Community Services (NACS) organizations operate After-school programs in four of the six schools removed from New York State Education Department SURR (Schools Under Registration Review) list.

 

Ciurczak & Company, Inc. is the external evaluator for the After School Programs operated by these organizations.

"The Genesee County Drug-Free Communities Coalition Receives National Exemplary Award"

Ciurczak and Company, Inc. is proud to again acknowledge one of its clients, The Genesee County Drug-Free Communities Coalition, in its recognition as a national winner of The 2007 National Exemplary Award for Innovative Substance Abuse Prevention Programs, Practices, and Policies. This award was presented in Portland, OR by the National Prevention Network (NPN) and the National Association of State Alcohol/Drug Abuse Directors (NASADAD). All Ciurczak and Company staff involved in the evaluation of the coalition share in this honor.

"Soaring Beyond Expectation"
December 2006
In their December newsletter “Soaring Beyond Expectations”, Child & Adolescent Treatment Services (CATS) showcased their  21st Century Community Learning Center Annual Report for the 2005-2006 program year. They noted they have met 6 out of their 7 objectives, and made progress toward reaching their 7th in the 2005-2006 program year. CATS also offered copies of the report to families of the students of the program, which is offered at two centers – School 74 and the Gloria J. Parks Community Center. "Future Leaders Network certified as a Promising Practice"
Awarded November 14th, 2006
Future Leaders Network just received unanimous approval from the Review Board at www.SharingSuccess.org to be certified as a Promising Practice. Sharing Success is an evaluation system funded by the New York State Legislature to evaluate and promote "exemplary programs" through a rigorous screening process. Ciurczak & Company, Inc. was instrumental in helping guide Future Leaders Network through the maze of assessments and reporting required for this success.

Awarded March 30th, 2006
